After passing the Fellowcraft test I proved up the Lodge stated meeting on June 1 by reciting the Obligation of the Fellowcraft Mason in front of my Brothers.

After being initiated as an Entered Apprentice and passed to a Fellowcraft Mason, I found a sense of accomplishment having successfully completed the tests and recitation of the Obligations in the stated meetings in front of my Brothers. Memorizing this longer piece came a little easier than that of the Entered Apprentice. I’m beginning to have some hope that I may be able to accomplish more of the ritual.

But I feel a loss of momentum through the dark Lodge months of July and August. And in September, there weren’t enough Brothers present to open on the Second Degree. So, for about four months I feel stalled in a belabored move toward the Third Degree.
